LEARN TO FLY IN SAN DIEGO
Flight Training - San Diego style
Great flight instruction starts before we ever get in the airplane. I take the time to understand what you want to accomplish, build a training plan around your goals, and keep you informed throughout the process.
Whether you are working toward a new certificate, need a Flight Review, want to stay current with some instrument approaches, or need help flying your aircraft across the country, I’m here to help.
Flight and ground instruction from a CFI/CFII.
Training built around your goals, schedule, and learning style.
Learn to fly with an instructor who trained in the busy airspace of San Diego.
My goal is to make your training safe, comfortable, and enjoyable while keeping communication clear every step of the way. Together, we can make reaching your aviation goals straightforward and fun.
I’m happy to provide instruction in your aircraft (depending on the type), or I can help you get set up with Plus One Flyers, a San Diego flight club with aircraft based at KMYF, KSEE, and KCRQ.

Flight Review
Stay current, confident, and proficient with a personalized flight review tailored to your experience and goals. I’ll review essential flight maneuvers, procedures, regulations, and aeronautical decision-making while focusing on the areas that matter most to you.
Whether you’re getting back into flying after time away or simply want to sharpen your skills, I’ll provide a relaxed, thorough, and constructive review designed to help you feel comfortable and confident in the cockpit.
Instrument Rating
Take your flying to the next level with an Instrument Rating.
Instrument training teaches you to safely operate in the National Airspace System when visual references are limited, while developing the precision, judgment, and decision-making skills required of an instrument-rated pilot.
Training covers instrument procedures, approaches, departures, enroute navigation, holds, weather, regulations, and IFR flight planning. We’ll work together to build strong instrument scan and aircraft-control skills while developing the confidence to fly in a variety of real-world conditions.
Whether you want greater flexibility as a recreational pilot or are working toward a professional aviation career, an Instrument Rating is an essential step.
Instrument Proficiency Check
Stay proficient and confident in IFR operations with a personalized Instrument Proficiency Check.
I’ll review instrument procedures, approaches, holds, navigation, and IFR decision-making while focusing on the skills you need to safely and confidently operate in the system.
Whether you’re returning to instrument flying after some time away or need an IPC to regain instrument currency, training will be tailored to your experience and aircraft.
My goal is to provide a thorough, supportive environment while helping you sharpen your skills and become a more capable instrument pilot.
Commercial Pilot License
Ready to turn your flying into a career?
Commercial Pilot training builds upon your Private and Instrument experience and develops the advanced skills expected of a professional pilot.
Training focuses on commercial maneuvers, precision aircraft control, emergency procedures, complex flight planning, and the judgment and professionalism required in commercial operations. I’ll prepare you for the FAA Commercial Pilot practical test while building skills that will serve you throughout your aviation career.
Whether your goal is flight instruction, charter, corporate aviation, or the airlines, I’ll help you develop the knowledge, proficiency, and confidence needed to take the next step toward becoming a professional pilot.
Aircraft Ferrying
Need an aircraft moved safely and efficiently?
I offer aircraft ferry services for owners, buyers, sellers, and operators. I hold complex, high-performance, and tailwheel endorsements, allowing me to operate a broad range of general aviation aircraft. Whether you’re relocating an aircraft, taking delivery of a newly purchased airplane, or moving it for maintenance, I can help coordinate and complete the flight.
I prioritize careful planning, conservative decision-making, and professional aircraft handling throughout every trip. Each ferry flight is planned around the aircraft’s capabilities, weather, route, and operational requirements.
With experience flying a variety of general aviation aircraft, I’ll work with you to make the process straightforward and hassle-free while treating your aircraft with the same care and attention I would give my own.
